Wish I could blame this run time on the chicken tikka masala at the bottom of my stomach, or my 3 boys, or me not drinking enough water but, no. I'm just getting back into running again after a 2 month hiatus and I can't expect my body to perform like it did when I was training regularly.
I've got to remember to give myself a break. I was running 6.5 minute miles when I was in the Marine Corps. But that was many years and 3 little boys later. Im going to be happy today that my body can still carry me, thanks to God I have no injuries and I can keep on doing what I love to do, no matter what my time is.
